Van tech

For a 2018 vechile, it does lack a few features you would expect on a custom campervan.

Standard radio does not have DAB radio, big negative in my book, although the quality of DAB in UK is real poor, coverage has got much better recently as the Government has invested in extra transmitters.  I particularly like the choice of stations on DAB.

The radio does have USB and Aux input and I did bring along a usb stick with all our music.  That works just great.  The only problem is the speakers are only in the cab and not in the van.

Got a nice little 14" flat screen TV with DVD drive. Lucky we brought some DVDs as there is no TV aerial lead, so no TV.  Hope to find a Argos tomorrow in Fort William and get one.

Sockets and charging. There are 4 X 13 amp plugs in the kitchen, these only work when hocked up to mains.  The dash has both USB charger socket and a 12 volt socket, but both go off when ignition is turned off.  There is one more 12volt socket by the TV, which is not that easy to access when moving.

I am sure I could do a better job of designing camper vans.
